Chung's certificate for American Board of Internal Medicine expired in December 2007 so he can no longer claim to be board certified in internal medicine. His cardiology certification will expire (it's good for ten years) in 2012. His Georgia medical license is under investigation at this time. Chung has no admitting privileges and no verifiable medical practice. He will not be able to recert in cardiology in 2012 due to his lack of patient contact. He can claim to be a Board Certified cardiologist and to have a Georgia medical license at this point in time, but that won't last for much longer, nor does it mean that he is a practicing physician who is seeing patients on a regular basis. His ideas, care and behavior as evidenced on Usenet, his own vanity website, and his prior behavior on Sermo (physicians only networking website with > 50,000 members, Chung was kicked off) show that he is not able to meet the Georgia Medical Boards minimum standards for practice. He is dishonest and mentally ill. He is currently under investigation. Anyone with reasonable and verifiable concerns who would like to present them to the Georgia Medical Board can either contact the board his/her self or can email me for the name and a direct line of the investigator working on Chung's case.
