My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in August of this year at age 55.
Softball sized mass in the middle of his chest, inoperable, probably stage
IV.  My question is that since chemo has made him very sensitive to smell,
my mom cannot clean the house without it making my dad sick.  Is there
anything out there to clean with (that works) that is unscented you can
recommend?  Thanks for your help.

There's a list at the bottom of this page
http://es.epa.gov/techinfo/facts/safe-fs.html (I use many of them)
You'll have to adapt it to your Dad. If in doubt, leave it out. (and there's
definitely some there that I would skip).
Where they mention vinegar, they mean white vinegar.
If he can't tolerate that, there's some cloths sold packaged called Micro
Fiber by Supertek.
The box says distributed in North America. I found it in a home furnishings
store.
Works great for glass and mirrors, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and wiping
the interior of cars

I use bleach in the laundry and the toilet bowl. (which could be a trigger for
your Dad)
In the laundry, I close off the area and open the window (turn exhaust fan on)

Same for bathroom and/or pour a pail of hot water in the bowl after scrubbing
and flush while ventilating.
Health food stores have some unscented products (but I don't know what,
because that list works for me for most purposes.
I don't think they list oven cleaner there.  I use steel wool and hot water
first, then if there's residue I use a bit of spray.
(the labels may say which are scented or not)
I use foil under pans (and covers) to prevent dirtying the oven to begin with.

Some friends order from one or both of these
http://www.checnet.org/safer_products/index.asp
http://www.needs.com/
One friend says she uses the "granny products" (unscented personal care) from
the last website, but I don't know what she means. It's not listed there. I
think she calls them tollfree.  She says they have unscented laundry soap.

He may need more/different nausea meds, because even cooking foods can trigger
nausea.

Open box of baking soda in the refrigerator absorbs food odours.
