I was exposed to asbestos in the ducts of my old office when the AC
units were pulled out of the ceiling.  I was only in the room briefly
to move some equipment.  I found some information on how it becomes
airborne at www.airborneasbestos.com but I still find myself worried
that I enhaled asbestos and that I could get mesothelioma or
asbestosis.  Can I get sick from just a few minutes of exposure?  Or am
I just being paranoid?
Thanks,
BB

You will almost certainly have been exposed to more than this in your
lifetime. Almost certainly a brief exposure like yours will not result in
asbestosis which usually requires extended heavy exposure. A bit like the
difference in the chances of getting cancer between having a simple x-ray
or visiting a nuclear test site.
