Hi.... Colin here ...

In April 2005 I had a third of my left upper lobe removed and they got clean
margins.  The tumor was approx. a half a centimeter.  About a month later I
had six weeks of daily radiation and six weeks of weekly chemo concurrently.
On the pathology report it said it was non small cell, stage 3A.

It's almost a year anniversary since the surgery and I am feeling great but
I do worry, WORRY daily.  I have had one PET scan 4 months ago and it was
clear.

Any insight into non small cell stage 3A be it personal or professional???

Thanks in advance.

Worring definitely reduces ones QoL so get on with living, Colin.
Consider sedatives or an antidepressant if you're absolutely obsessed
with your prognosis.
You didnt mention which NSCLC it was, if it was an adenocarcinoma you
could get tumor markers such as CEA and CA19.9 (sometimes also useful
even for LC) done 1/4 or 1/2 yearly via a simple blood test (not too
often, as waiting for these results will give you something new to worry
about). If its a squamous tumor the SCC marker is less reliable.
