advancement of research into the chronic inflammatory skin disease
called Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). This website was established to
advance research into the disease, to help educate and empower

Hi Steph:

1. Highlighted search term of the bibliography-
http://hs-research.com/SearchEngine/search.pl?q=carcinoma&showurl=%2Fbibliograph
y.html

2. Ref 508 is a report of a cohort study which demonstrates that the
risk for certain types of cancer increases 50% in those diagnosed with
Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

3. No it is not cancer. This rare disease that I have has many severe
complications including Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Take good care,

SCC can be a complication of many conditions with chronic skin inflammation.
That doesn't mean we expect postings here from people with venous stasis
ulcers or suntans.......... You want to discuss scc of the skin and its
management, fine, but HS is completely off topic

Hi Steph,
"Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer." is this not  the
description of this usenet group?

I am a Registered Nurse (Division 2) in the state of Victoria,
Australia.

Prevention of cancer would be an appropriate individual health goal
perhaps. Treating inflammatory disease would be an appropriate method
to prevent development of SCC.

Anyway I shall discontinue this discussion on this forum in order to
accede to your views.

Take good care and farewell,

Rob Howes
