Hello deepak,

I'm sorry to hear about your father. It sounds like the treatment is not
working.
I was thinking about researching the possibility of surgery for the
adrenal , but more information about your father might be helpful.
Age, whether he has had any other surgeries, other health problems,
whether he's been tolerating the treatments (or not)..complications.
Whether he's up and about (functional) or bedridden from illness. Whether
he's frail or robust.
Whether the adrenal mass is giving him symptoms.

It would not be a cure. I
would have to look up complications and risks of such a surgery.
I would have to look up whether he could have chemo later.  And if so,
which and when (the recovery period for such a surgery).

Meantime, this was Socks' chemo regimen (he's 54 and tolerated it quite
well - had no adrenal involvement)
June 2001 - January 2002
Carbo and Taxol (10 treatments or so, every 3 weeks)
June 2002 - March 2003
Taxotere (every 3 weeks)
June 2003 - present
Zometa (every 3-4 weeks, still ongoing)
Jan 2004 - May 2004
Taxotere (6 treatments)
Initial treatment healed lung lesions. Never had a recurance of the
pleural effusion, much to everyone's surprise.
Lesion was discovered on my liver in December, 2003. Lesion was reduced in

size and has not resumed growing since discontinuing the 2004 treatment."
He has since stopped all treatments.

I don't know if radiation therapy is possible for the adrenal, so watch
for a reply by Steph.
Meatime, please answer the questions.
