Hey everyone,
I've really never joined or written in a group like this before. I
read a lot of information in Google Groups on all different topics.
I just discovered this group today and was hoping someone would be more
educated that I am and could offer me some advice and/or help in my own
awareness of juicing.
I just started juicing four days ago. I just juice once every morning
one full glass of juice which usually consist of Carrots, Spinanch,
Apples, Celery, Cucummber, etc... I'm 26 and very much over wieght and
am just trying to make life changes.
I haven't had any type of soda in nearly a year. I drink only water
and de-caf tea for the most part along with 100% non-concentrated
juices and now juice from my own juicer. I don't eat sweets or a lot
of sugar items and have cut way back on my starches intake. My
overwieghtness is a genetic metabolism that is extremely slow, which I
found out after many blood test as a kid and other medical test.
My goals in juicing are obvious. I want to get more healthy foods into
my body to improve my health and to have a better quality of life.
My concern is this, somewhat embarressing but very much needed to be
asked... Since I started juicing I've had blood in my stool, not much,
but enough to notice. It's very red, very little, usually just a
streak here or there, twice now to be exact. So I searched for side
effects of juicing and of course found this group. Anyone have any
comments, ideas, knowledge about this... Should I be worried, should I
go to a doctor, or is this just a common side effect of your body
cleaning itself out??????
Thanks for you time and for all your writtings, it was very educating
and interesting.

Did you eat or juice any beets?
jasond - 20 Feb 2005 02:30 GMT
No, no beets. I've been reading a lot on Google. As of today, no
blood, but I haven't been juicing either. I will start back tomorrow
and see if the blood returns.
