A quick posting:

Good:   Got the staples removed from the incision, and it was relatively
painless. The nurse then asked me: " Do you want to keep your staples?"
To which I replied "What the heck for" and then she mentioned that there
are some me that like to keep that sort of thing.....

Better:  My Urologist came in and said the cancer was fully contained
within the prostate itself and had not metastasized to the lymph nodes
or other tissue! Yee Haaaaa! (I said said inwardly - but my wife started
crying and hugging first me then the doctor). He indicated that I will
still need to return for follow-up stuff concerning the surgery and
recovery - NOT to mention getting rid of this catheter and prescribes my
having my PSA done twice yearly for the rest of my life. Hell, I can do
that!

Things are looking up !

hi phil - congrats on your excellent news.

i put better on the end of your post because you said that you will get
tested twice a year.  the fact is - as a rule, you will get tested every
90 days the first year, then it goes to every 6 months for a few years,
then back to annual.  that is better news, which is why i posted the
better.

Wonderful news Phil.  May your PSA forever be undetectable.

CONGRATULATIONS, PHIL!!!!!

Take good care of that catheter, for it can be a real pain - it consumes such a
brief period in your life (but an all-consuming period!)

I got the same results as you after my January 7 surgery - and my doc wants to
see me at 3 months, 3 months, 6 months, 6 months, then yearly afterward for the
next 15 years - appointments I will gladly keep!

Keep us posted with your good news, and progress!!!!!
