had a emergency visit to the doc yesterday. i started not to urinate. he
used a #20 sound to break through the scar tissue and now i have a cath
in me. this is the second time for this procedure and it is getting old.
the doctor has set me up for surgery to cut away the scar tissue. has
anyone had this surgery done? if i do get this surgery, ihope that it
will cure the problem of scar tissue. thank-you for this support group.

It's pretty simple surgery, I think, for male for female. You'll be in and
out of the hospital. Go for it and be thankful it's simple. You'll be glad
when it's over.

thank-you curtis and bev, for the info for surgery, to remove scar
tissue. went to my primary care doctor today and he took me off blood
thinner for good. two days after my surgery for prostate removal, i
started to throw blood clogs to my lungs. i was in intensive care for
three days and a total of seven days in the hospital. nothing has come e
asy for me and hope that the surgery to remove the scar tissue goes ok!
see my uro this tuesday to set up surgery.

hi paul - been there - done that.
checked in the hospital at 9am for same day surgery, was on the
operating table a little after 10. was told it would be a 20 to 30
minute operation. came to after 12 noon in the recovery. ask if he had
any problems. was told that everything is all taken care of, that the
extra time was set up time. he did tell me that he made two cut downs
but made sure that it didn't affect my continence.
left by 2pm. during the 2 1/2 hour drive back home, my urine turned
from blood red out of surgery to clear cherry color by the time i got
home. it cleared up by the next morning. wore catheter for 4 days.
pull it out at home. has been fine ever since.
that was in sept 03 and i can honestly say that i have my life back in
that dept as if it never happened. for the 6 months before that, i was
a nightmare. and as you said, it's gets old. but there is a future
past all this and it soon will be behind you. if you have any
questions, just let me know.
