Had my annual physical yesterday. No DRE. "No point" said the medicine
man (Boarded internist).
Just want to report that for posterity...you know what I mean.
By the way, my wife had the cast removed this afternoon. She cannot put
weight on the foot/leg without pain yet of course, but she starts physical
therapy tomorrow. I may turn in my apron in a couple weeks.
In the leaking department, no progress to report. Yesterday I had to
change a pad by 10:00 A.M. The first change is usually around noon. It is
better when I am at work sitting, but working around the house it leaks like
crazy. I am six months out. No sign of life in the erection department.
Two years seems to be mentioned a lot here. Guess I will concentrate on the
incontinence for now. That is really bothering me more on a day to day
basis to be truthful. I have lost count of accidents now.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Thank you.

I once told you to start worrying at six months. I really thought you'd be
more continent by now. But, as you know, it does take some longer.
Best wishes for your wife. I hope she stays away from the dog.

Had my RP almost 3 years ago. Each time I visit the urologist who did the
surgery he does a DRE to see if anything unusual is in the prostate "bed."
Also sends me for an enhanced PSA about once a year to be sure there is no
activity.
See your Urologist to check that area as well as to see if you need help
with the continence issue, i.e. silicone injections to the bladder neck
area.

My doc does this too. I guess a small percent might develop something
down there. He said it's a inexpensive test, I agree. So once a year
along with the psa.....

Me too. Each time I go to the uro, I get the DRE. Even with hemorhoids
once. Really thought I'd get a pass that time.

I think the doctors love to do that.
Many years ago I remember complaining after a doctor told
me to bend over and he said, "I know you don't like it, but
you wouldn't be getting your money's worth if I didn't do it,
and we can't have that."
