Its been 3 months since surgery.
Continence is fully controlled.
Last week the doctor prescribed Cialis for Doug.
Even with the missing 'expansion' we were having fun
but Cialis is giving Doug headaches (he never has headaches) and
terribly painful muscle soreness in the legs especially. (he is 48, not
overweight, in great health)
Cialis is giving him everything BUT stiffness in the right place.
We can laugh about the situation because we know everything
will be fine in time. But these are severe symptoms and it makes us wonder
about how safe this product is.
Thanks

Any medication needs to be taken under strict supervision and ceased
immediately if side effects are noticed. Doug needs to discuss the symptoms
with his doctor but in the meantime stop taking the Cialis. Sore leg
muscles and severe tiredness has been reported several times on this ng.
For me Cialis is great and I get far better results than with Viagra. I pop
one pill per week and the effects last for about three days. I get no side
effects from Cialis again unlike I do with Viagra.

Keep working on it. It'll come around eventually. You just have to
practice, practice, practice.

1. I had the headache and leg pains when I first started the med. The leg
pains were the worst, and they took maybe 3-4 days to subside completely.
Since the first initial dose or two, I've not had a recurrance.
2. It works for me: RRP 11/15/2002, age at RRP 59. After the RRP, don't
expect pre-surgery erections... If it *gets up* you've won.
3. IMHO, Three months is *way* early for erectile recovery. No harm is
fooling around, howver ;o)
HTH.

He should talk to his doctor. It might be worth fiddling with the dose.
Also, some drugs produce side effects when first taken, but the body
adapts to them with continued use. With Viagra, I saw the blue haze
and had a mild headache. With continued use, both these side effects
disappeared.
Three months is a bit early. A drug like Viagra or Cialis may not work
initially, but it is worth trying every month or so. At some point, it
may start working.

Hello,
It took me about 2 years for things to work and then some. I had Viagra
early on and had the most terrible headache and stuffiness ever.
Now I take 25 mgs. and I do get excellent results, and no problems. It may
take some time, and I do encourage use of a pump, and or Viagra, and or
injections, to get things rolling so to speak, and before too long they will
be as perky as ever.

LRP October 2001, 1 nerve spared.
It took about a year before ANYTHING we tried did anything useful but now,
1/6 of a 100 mg Viagra (a "V-Chip" as I call it) works every time and we
sometimes manage without any pharmaceuticals.
I have tried Cialis once - 20 mg.
The therapeutic effects are as advertised - (5x in 48 hours!). It is great
not to have to work around meals and to be able to be a little more
spontaneous.
However, I too experienced nasty lingering pain in the left leg starting
about 2 days after I took it and lasting for 2 more days. It felt the way I
imagine sciatica must feel like. Shooting pain from the top of the femur
down to the mid calf. It responded well to Tylenol but I was intense enough
to keep me from sleeping before I took the Tylenol.
I will definitely give it another go but will try a half dose next time. I
do read that any side effects that you experience at first diminish with
subsequent doses, so I am hopeful.
It may be hype, but I read that Levitra is more suitable than either Viagra
or Cialis for men who's ED problems stem from the effects of prostatectomy,
but I have no first hand knowledge of that drug.
It takes time but do keep trying and swing for the fences!

5x in 48 hours? Maybe you just pulled a leg muscle.

I was just wondering about that myself.
I guess some guys worry if they're impotent if they can only do
it four times in 48 hours.

I think Joe hit a grand slam home run.

Yeah, a lot of people don't give enough credit to the catcher.

FIVE TIMES IN 48 HOURS........wooooooooow, I could barely achieve that at
age 20 with everything working. Good luck to you......I'm not a doctor but
let me tell you, YOU ARE CURED.
