I went the brachytherapy route on 11/22/02.
PSAs
11/22/02 5.1
02/20/03 1.5
05/26/03 1.0
08/18/03 0.7
11/18/03 1.2
Doc says "we'll check again in 3 months."
Normal?
Thanks,

I would not say 'normal', but I would not get too worried yet. The 2/20,
5/26, and 8/18 would be, I would say, exactly what you are looking for as
far as direction. The hope is that the PSA will go down to a certain level
after a year or two and just kind of stay at that level (nadir) for 30-60
years.
Going up is not what you want it to do. Especially going up 71%. I suspect
that if you go up again next time, you'll be on hormone treatment of some
sort. It's not the end of the world, especially if you're in your latter
60s or 70s (which you did not report).

No apology necessary. I guessed it pretty close.

I think there is quite a lot of variation in these things. It would be
better if it were continuing its decline, but I understand the process
of cancer cells dying off usually takes something like two years.

Thanks, Ron, and to the others that responded with a couple of good
