Yes, I still exist, kind of.  I was definitely not cut out to be a
mother.  Glad to report that my first experience with ironing yesterday went
well.  The feedback on some of the other chores around the house was not so
positive however.  Four more weeks with my wife in a cast, no weight
bearing.  Then physical therapy to get the leg working again.  Buttercup
will not even look at my wife.  Today I went to the vet to get heartworm
pills and asked about behavioral specialists (for the dog, not me).  They
are referring me to one locally.  Can you believe it.  A shrink for the dog!
Am I glad 2003 is history.  Here's hoping that 2004 is a much better year,
no cancer, no incontinence, no broken bones!
On the penis front, nothing good to report.  Still four pads a day when
at work and sitting at the desk.  When I am at home doing the various chores
meaning standing, stooping, lifting, etc., I leak like crazy.  I can fill a
pad in two hours.  One day last week I had two accidents in one day!  That
really pissed me off... you know what I mean.  So no improvement in the
incontinence department.  The Depends people are happy.
Too damn busy to even thing about erection problems, and I got tired of
being a guinea pig for different drug combination.  There are still two MUSE
in the refrigerator and I never tried 20 mg. of Cialis.  Somebody tried that
and reported that the after effects lasted a couple days.  I do not need
that, so I have not taken any more.
Bought a telescope to see, what is it - Jupiter with the rings.  It is
close enough within the next couple weeks to see the rings with a cheap
telescope...if you can find the damn planet.  I can't even get the moon to
show up in the telescope part.  There must be some trick to using this
thing.  Anyway, it will be 2650 before Jupiter, Saturn, the one with the
rings, is this close again, so get out there and look.  Wishing you better
luck than what I have had so far.
Getting too long.  Besides, I better get back downstairs to see what my
wife needs next.
   Happy New Year gang.
   Thank you.

Hang in there Dave,  You have a tough row to howe.
I would let the dog outside, and let it be a dog......
I have cats......I put them out at night.  I have a nice garage where they
can sleep
Are you getting any exersize other than ironing, and sitting at a desk.
I believe that a good morning walk, of about 3 miles, would help you in
all fronts.  Hu hum....
After that, you can push it to 4 miles 5 days a week.

Walking helps with blood flow, and also may help with muscle tone in the
lower area.
Do you practice kiegels?

I think being so busy, has clouded your personal healing process, and it is
time to take care of Dave.

Best news I hear is a telescope.  Hey, I have one and will set it up!
Thanks for the letter, and hope I did not unravel your feathers.

Take care of Butter-cup, and yourself.
Walk, and tell the shrink to walk with you!
Keep using pads, and do try starting and stopping.
Erections come............Took 2 plus years.

Thanks John.  Rain today, so no walk.  I do miss my walks.  When I get
busy I do not think of the kegels, so i have to plead guilty of not doing
them regularly.
On the telescope, I am in North Carolina.  The news said to look to the
East.  The planet with the rings will be close for the next three months,
but the best viewing will be in the next couple of weeks.  They said it
would be visible anytime after dark.  The picture they showed on the news
had the rings up and down.  I do not know what kind of telescope they had,
but it was very clear with the colors in the plant itself and the rings
around it.  They said that it could be viewed with any telescope while it
was this close.  Good luck.  I hope you find it.
   Thank you.

Hi David S.,
So sorry to hear of all your trouble - spouse too.  As for your
incontinence, I know how you feel but there is better news on my end.
Hopefully you will have a similar experience soon.  As you know, we
were both heavy leakers unlike many in this group who were dry from
day one.  I have made some improvement and much of it came from just
going to the bathroom regularly whether I needed to or not.  After
returning from a walk or standing a long time I have little to
contribute in the bowl, it is all in the pad, but I leak very little
other times so I put almost as much in the bowl now as before surgery.
On a non-walking day I could probably get by with one pad all day.
No pad is out of the question though.  With multiple visits to family
and friends (such as Christmas day) with much standing (drying dishes,
etc.) I go up to four pads although I probably do not need all of
them.  Over-all, I am down to 2+ pads per day average, so there is
light at the end of our tunnels.  Very little progress with Willy.

As for the rings, Saturn is the planet that has them visible in
smaller home-based telescopes.  Jupiter has the four Galilean moons.
I got a little telescope when I was about 10 years old and seeing the
rings of Saturn and moons of Jupiter from my backyard was easily one
of the top ten thrills of my life.  Is the telescope outside when you
look at the planets and our moon?  My first try was from inside the
house and the window glass blurred everything up pretty well.  Got to
go outside.  Good luck.

Take care,
Dave Perry
