I've been intermittent with ADT after failing radiation for about 10 years.
Recently I started 3 mg daily of melatonin. This sleep aid has slightly
reduced my PSA (now 2.98). Has anyone else looked into the over-the-counter
drug ? I have misplaced the article suggesting the use of melatonin for PC.
I am very active (81 YOA) and play golf (shot my age last week) 3x a week.
I have the known other problems, but it is so good to be looking down at the
grass.

Welcome, Fen!
I assume your primary treatment was radiation, as opposed to salvation
radiation treatment. When was your initial treatment? You may be the
longest survivor in the newsgroup!
Congrats on your golf score. I'd be happy to shoot my age in nine holes.

I have used Melatonin and benadryl as a sleep aide for the past year. I've
not seen any reduction in my PSA for the last two tests following
Brachytherepy. I sleep soundly, but can't seem to sleep longer than 5
hours.

CLONAZEPAM (generic for KLONOPIN) 0.5mg at bedtime
resulted 12-16 hours of sleep. That's too much.
AMBIAN Cr 6.2 results in 6 to 8 hours of sleep now.
