Viagra, Levitra, Cialis comparison

I have taken all three of the ED medications and would like to share
their relative effectiveness.  I have taken Viagra in doses ranging
from 25mg to 125mg (recommended dose 100mg), Levitra both 10 and 20 mg
(recommended dose 20mg), and one Cialis dose of 10mg (recommended dose
10mg to start and 20mg maximum dose).

I experienced nasal stuffiness with all three meds and the famous
“blue haze” with Viagra.  Nothing else with the other two
except I did get a very minor headache for a couple of hours after
taking Cialis.  It is quite possible the headache had another source.
Whatever the source, it was not significant.  The nasal stuffiness
with Cialis lasted well in excess of 24 hours, unlike the other two
just as my doctor predicted.  As to erectile function, all three had
exactly the same effect, which for me was nothing at all except
engorgement while standing in the shower.  The engorgement with Viagra
was much more impressive at all dose levels than with either of the
other two meds.  Cialis was the least effective, and I do not expect
anything as significant as with Viagra even at the higher dose of
20mg.  So far, nothing to write home about with any of the meds
although spouse and I did get one “stuffing” with Viagra
and a ring holding everything together although it was purely
mechanical, very short lived, and with no gratification for either one
of us.

There is my story with these meds.  If the 20mg Cialis does anything
significant, I will let everyone know.  I would like to hear
comparisons made by others.  I know each one of us reacts differently
to the same medications and what works for one does not work for
others.

Wishing everyone a good holiday season.  Take care all.

Dave:
    Costly experiments, aren't they?
I had ED problems going in, so Viagra not working post RRP is
no surprise.  I have not tried Levitra.  My uro said it works the same
way that Viagra does, so there was no point (in his opinion).  I was
excited to get hold of the Cialis because it worked for one of the
other members of the group.  I have only tried the 10 mg. dose so far,
and no response.  I also tred the MUSE after having taken the Cialis,
but the response was the same as MUSE with Viagra, some stifness, but
no erection, and I did have pain.  I still have two doses of the MUSE
and am not really anxious to use it again.
I have an appointment with my uro in a couple weeks to discuss
ED specifically.  I do not know what he has in mind, but I am not sure
I want to try the shots.  I have the pump, and it works, but I have
not tried rings to maintain the erection yet.
    Happy New Year.
    Thank you.

Dave,

I had ED going in, that and BPH sent me to the uro who found the cancer.
Viagra worked well for me before the RP (50mg did the job). I'm six months
post RP now and 100mg of Viagra does very little. In combination with the
pump and a ring, it seems to help, but who knows? I too, find the pump
"mechanical" and yearn for the days when I was still able to obtain a
natural erection. We all keep up the fight and we all recover differently,
don't we? I wish you luck with your recovery and await the news on Cialis.

My RRP (Jan 02) included a nerve graft, since nerve sparing was not an
option. No ED pre RRP. ED since then has been frustrating.

Viagra has not provided any success in doses up to 100 mg, with many
attempts. I tried a levitra sample pack and had success (being defined
as able to penetrate and have intercourse) one of three times. I am
going for a prescription of Levitra for further testing. I am also
going to request a cialis sample pack for testing purposes.

also have used injections: tri-mix - success but the achiness
afterwards was too intense and greatly detracted from the experience.
Bimix worked OK and i considering that alternative if the oral meds do
not provide a reasonable success rate.

Wishing you "success" in your future evaluations....Bill
