I'm glad to hear it's over and you are doing so well, Dwight! Keep up
the good work.
I found that sort of rolling into and out of bed worked best for me.
But, as I remember, the rolling into bed started out with one knee and
one hand like the start of an "all fours" position, perhaps similar to
what you are doing..
Getting out for me was sort of rolling out with one knee hitting the
floor and a hand grabbing for support wherever I could find it. It
sounds weird, and it probably would have looked weird to anyone who
saw it, but it was a way to get my body vertical without too much
stress on the abdominal muscles. BTW, mine was the old-fashioned
retropubic thing with an incision from the belly button to the pelvic
bone and the doc's hand in up to his elbow, I think!
I think we all find out, pretty quickly, what works best for us and go
with it.
Keep up the good progress, Dwight. Best wishes to you.

I explained it in great detail a few weeks ago. If you can find that, it
may help you.
