OK, just had the biopsy a couple hours ago and it was much easier to go
through than I thought it would be. I feel fine. I hope this gives some
future reader some sense of calmness before going through this.

It was not painful. It only took five minutes and I was actually joking
around with the doc, ultrasound tech and nurse during the procedure. One
would have thought we were having a party. If you have to have this done,
the anticipation of it is much worse than the actual procedure.

The doc said the ultrasound looked great, prostate was 25g (pretty much
normal for a 46 year old) and I'll have the biopsy results in about a week.

After I was wheeled out of the procedure room, there was a very young (about
30) guy waiting to go next. He looked terrified, so I looked him in the eye,
gave him a big smile and told him it was a breeze. I hope it helped.

Which brings me to thanking you fine folks for the help and advice you've
given me.

They must have used the equipment sized for heterosexual men on you
then.  I had mine done in San Francisco, and I believe they got the
equipment mixed up. ;-)

Lol!

That's funny cause I said to the ultrasound tech..."Hey, that's not so
bad...you doing anything Friday night"? At least I got a giggle from the
cute nurse. :o)

At the front desk, I told them I wanted flowers next time.  I got the
oddest glazed look from at least 3 people.

Or quietly, casually light up a (prop) cigarette after the probe is
withdrawn.
