I take it. I get the capsules from Puritan's Pride. Sometimes they
have big sales. I also put curry powder in food.
My main interest is in its supposed anti-Alzheimer's effect. Is
there also benefit for prostate cancer?

I take a capsule of tumeric daily, along with a ridiculous assortment of
other supplements regarded as antioxidants or generally beneficial --
garlic, pomegranate extract, selenium, Vitamin A and D, omega fish oil,
calcium, etc. I have no idea if they really do any good or harm.
I do know that my PSA score has declined fairly steadily over the past three
years -- during two years prior to my starting on Proscar, and of course
fairly dramatically afterward. (Proscar shrinks the prostate and is known to
halve PSA scores.)
For a time I was very careful about my diet, eschewing fats, red meat, etc.
That lasted about a year. Now my diet is as awful as it ever was.
Supplements are easy. Self-control is hard!

Some studies correlate calcium with pCa and I've wondered if there is
something there that reasons out why pCa mets seem to go to bone.
