You seem to be the group's expert on injections so let me ask your advice.
I too have tried the pump and pills and like you the pump doesn't work for
sex (although I suspect that it will give a cadaver a nice erection) and the
pills only give me a headache.
So, my uro gave me a bimix prescription and it does work pretty well. But I
would rate it at 70% of rock hard and you need at least 60% for decent
penetration so it barely works.
Should I ask to try trimix. Should I expect better results. 10-20%
improvement would be a lot.

One of the mistakes made by new injections users is to expect a 100%,
rock-hard erection from the shot. The optimum is to inject and achieve about
a 75% erection. THEN add stimulation and you should get your 100% erection.
If you inject enough for 100% without stimulation, you'll find you'll have
difficulty getting it to go down.

There's not a whole lot of difference between the two. I use trimix because
using just Prostaglandin E1 by itself, leaves me with kind of an aching
feeling in the nuts. The trimix is usually:
PGE1 (Prostaglandin E1) .05ml [PROS'-ta-GLAN'-den] (Temperature
sensitive)
Phentolamine .55ml [lower blood pressure] (blocks
nerves causing arteries contractions)
Papaverine 2.5ml [Scaring] (Relaxes smooth muscle
tissue)
Saline 1.2ml
Hope this helps

The common wisdom from what I've read and heard and experienced is
that tri-mix will usually be more effective then the bi-mix and it
will take a smaller quantity, somewhere around 50% to 70% less volume
needs to be injected. I needed nearly 1cc of bimix and get about the
same result using 0.2cc of tri-mix. One down side of trimix,
especially in the first two years after surgery, is that it tends to
produce more of the achy feeling in your penis. It's not clear to me
what's causing the ache, is it just a chemical effect or is it achy
because it so rarely gets stretched to that size. The stretching is
about the only value I see from using a pump, you can pump as often as
you like and stretch the penis. But nothing seems to get the lost 1"
or so to come back.
I'd say you should go for the tri-mix, you have nothing to lose but
the price of the prescription.

Tri-mix gel was discussed over on the PPML back in January of this
year. I didn't really follow the thread, but the following link to an
article entitled "Fraudulent Prescriptions" was provided. I haven't
read the article either. If you do, I'd be interested to hear back
what you make of it...ron

I don't know if that's the same stuff or not but I don't think so. I
can tell you that I get a prescription from my ED Doctor and had to
mail the compounding pharmacy it. There was also a long wait for the
product as they were waiting (and waiting) for the application system
to arrive. They also apparently called my Doctors office to verify
the prescription. Eventually it arrived in the mail. I have used it
twice so far. The first time I wasn't very good at getting the gel
down into my urethra and consequently the area around the tip got a
little red and irritated looking but it didn't feel particularly
irritated. The second time I was a lot more careful to get a good
seal when shoving the gel in. In both cases it worked pretty much the
same as my Tri-mix injections usually work, which is to say "pretty
good". I think this stuff is on the up and up, there's been nothing
in dealing with them that suggests otherwise. I do get the feeling
taht it's a small operation but it was packaged well. Call them at
877-8-trimix or visit their website.

I am not connected with them in anyway.
