John and I are fine after the earthquake today.  John didn't even feel
it but he works farther south than I do and was farther from the
epicenter.  I work in West LA in a 23-story high-rise (12th Floor), so
I really felt it.  I thought our building would never stop rolling.

How are the rest of you California people?

hi debbie - having lived in california, i've found that outside the
area,  most people may not know what a roller is.   it's not we the
people consider a quake, if that makes sense.

i know what i want to say, but can't put it in words.

i have been on the phone with someone and a roller started.  he
said,"you're not going to believe this not we are having a roller"

"ok, is the bottles shaking or rattling?"

"what about the pictures on the wall, how are they?"

"they're vibrating a little."

"what floor are you on?"

"2nd"

"ok, sounds about a 3 to 3.4.  what do you think?"

"yeah, it's not worth running out of the building for"

sure enough - that night they said that california had a quake that
measure 3.2.

boy debbie - on the 12th floor, i bet that did amplify the feeling.

that's like being on the top of the ladder and having someone grabbing
the ladder and give a shake.  at the feet, it isn't that bad, but at the
top of the ladder, it's like an........

EarthQuakes happen, and so does prostate cancer.
I know I did not help a bit.
I live in Calif. felt many earthquakes, and move on.....Just like PSA.  get
tested, move on.
I am very sorry for the loss of lives especially in Paso Robles..dress
makers,
We did not feel the quake here, but understand they can happen here and or
anywhere on our Earth.
