Just a brief history: First ever PSA test in January 1997 was 45+.
Bone scan OK. Lymph nodes at surgery on March 5, 1997 OK. PSA tests
each three months for three years <0.1. When PSA rose to almost 2
started on Lupron and later added Casodex. <0.1 for three years then
PSA rose a little, dropped Casodex, and since then PSA has remained at
<0.1. Next appointment with Dr. on April 8.
So here I am 11 years later. Major health issue right now is jet lag
(lasts about 5 days) as we just returned Monday from 2 weeks in Italy--
we spent two weeks in Switzerland last August. In June I will have my
80th birthday and a couple of weeks later celebrate our 58 wedding
anniversary.

That's a great history. There are a lot of guys with
an initial PSA of 45 who haven't made it for 11 years.
Happy birthday, and Happy upcoming Anniversary.
Wishing you many more.

Great annual report, Dick! Congratulations! As a major health issue,
I think you can probably handle jet lag.
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to both of you.

Thanks Dick. Same age, so your great experience gives my my marker!
Diagnosed three years ago, so I'll be going on until at least 2016,
Winters-time!
Long may your good news continue.

Hi Dick - marvelous news and long may it remain unchanged.
If you have the time to tell, I'd be interested in knowing your post
surgery gleason score and also the dynamics of your PSA rise from <0.1
to 2.0 - how long did that climb take?
The success of your string of treatments speaks for itself but I
wonder, was salvage radiation ever considered at PSA=2?
All the best to you.
