is a link to the booklet that i received via berky
it was a tremendous help to me - knowing what to expect.
i had never read that article steve, thanks for the link.
berky's travels in this disease have been longer than my dads - he was
diagnosed in oct of 2000 and passed away nov of 2002.
i will always remember berky.

Go to http://www.psa-rising.com/voices/maynard_berkowitz.htm, if you'd
like
to find out about him. Disregard the last sentence in the article.

Yes, he is quite a man.
I don't recall your father or your discussions of him on this NG. I did not
become active here until 2001.
I'm sorry about your father. I know how you felt in November this year. I
still get a moist set of eyes on June 28 and it's been 21 years since my
father died of this terrible disease.

I didnt get a chance to mention him much steve- I moved to fl to be
with him in sept of 2002 and he died nov 5,2002.
none of us knew how sick he truly was - if the docs knew, they certainly
didnt tell him, or else he didnt hear.
there wasnt really a lot to post because he was already so ill.
mostly we just helped him pass more easily - i hope at least.
the booklet i got via berky helped TREMENDOUSLY - thats why i hope
others will work to pass along the info.
dying valiantly with this disease surely makes one a true warrior.
thanks for your kind thoughts......
