You're speaking of two different animals.

First is USENET (newsgroups):

alt.support.cancer.prostate
alt.binaries.............
alt.engineering...............
alt.tv...................
alabama.sports............
comp.sys.amiga..............
comp.sys.mac...............

Second is the World Wide Web (web sites):

http://www.fda.gov
http://www.parade.com
http://www.sonomawine.com
http://www.nasa.gov
http://www.opry.com
http://www.myconeyislandmemories.com/

Why not have the other person subscribe to the newsgroup(s)
you're both interested in?  It doesn't make sense to "send"
a newsgroup from one computer to another.

Oh, you know how the memory gets, *part* of mine must have gotten old, and I
was using that and it remembered wrong.  Gonna have to go and bring it all
up-to-date!  Naw, it was like I said, it just *seemed* like  once upon a
time I clicked a link to send someone to a newsgroup, but must have dreamed
it.

He went in to find something for lunch, gave me his computer, and I had him
subscribed before he could choose dinner.  He is not computer savvy, and I'd
have to show him how.  Easier to do it myself.  ;)
