If I was his wife, he would be choosing between me and Buttercup, grin.
And Dave......it is your *job* to walk the dog. Don't want to chance
that rule that says *things happen in 3's*.
Kind of reminds me of an 84 year old relative......broke her kneecap in
a fall in the Miami airport, which required surgery. After returning
home, they hired a nurse and she didn't hold her properly while getting
into the shower........yep, you guessed it. Fell in the shower and
broke the kneecap again. Not nice at that age.
Cheers......and my sympathies to your wife........Heather

Carol's surgery was today. It went fine. She now will set off the
metal detectors at the airport with her plate and eight screws. She will
require physical therapy to get things working again. Not a great way to
start retirement.
When we got home I tried to take Buttercup the Destroyer out to pee.
She saw my wife in the wheelchair and freaked out on me. So, with the
resulting stress incontinence I was welcomed home to pee all over the place.
Next time we are getting a hamster.
Merry Christmas.

Poor Carol........and poor David.......I get such a giggle out of your
antics with Buttercup!! Luckily, I am allergic to dogs, so have a 17
lb. part Persian Wonder Cat instead!! Mighty big furballs, I will tell
you!! (VBG)
Give Carol my best wishes for a speedy recovery......and I have one
question because your post was not clear. Which one peed all over the
place.....you or Buttercup?? ROFL!!!
Perhaps you should put the Depends on Buttercup. (G)
Cheers......Heather

hi david - i think the next pet should be a fish. this way, you don't
have to take it out for a walk, it can pee in the water, you won't trip
over it. and it doesn't get nervous and upset, unless, of course, you
drain the tank.
i do have to agree with heather, if you do read it again, it does make
one wonder who peed all over the place? :)
i do enjoy the stories about buttercup - the wonder dog. ;))

That is an interesting point about who pee'd where. I meant to make a
post yesterday about my experience the last two days. On Monday I had the
start of another good day pad wise. My 6:00 A.M. post shower pad lasted
until 3:30 in the afternoon. Granted it was really ready to go, but none
the less that was a long time for me. It changed quickly, however. The
next change had to be made at about 7:30 that evening. The next day rivaled
my worst day post Mr. Foley. I went through at lest six pads on Tuesday,
and almost as many yesterday. It was also the kind of day when I could feel
it leak out. Normally the pad fills up and I wonder where it came from
because I had felt nothing. Very frustrating, especially after the very
good two pad day last week. I wonder if the stress with my wife injured had
anything to do with this? Today is back to my normal four pad routine, or
at least it is on track for that.
Fish are out. When my step-son lived with us (they grow up, move out,
and then move back you know) he had a big fish tank. Guess who had to clean
it? No more fish. What really pissed me off was that when he moved out
instead of transporting the fish to the new location he just flushed them
all down the toilet. Then he bought new fish for the new apartment.
Wife doing good today. This afternoon she called her boss and told her
that she could not work next Friday and Saturday. I am not sure what caused
her to give up the ghost, but up until then she really intended to go to
work. Who was it here that went back to work three days after the RRP? Not
me.
Do you think Colin Powell is reading our newsgroup? If so, Hi General.
Be sure to keep extra pads in your briefcase at the State Department, just
in case.
Ho Ho Ho....
Thank you.

I'm sorry but that produced a good laugh!
I'm also sorry to hear that Carol has had such a horrible break. Surgery
will be a breeze compared to the physiotherapy!!!!!!!!! Please give her my
best. Also email me with your new email addy as I don't seem to have it.
I'll trade you my fat lazy cat for Buttercup.
My daughter has a bearded dragon. It's kinda cute. It eats marinated
crickets. (shiver) It also eats green stuff like lettuce and broccoli. It
least it stays in a very large aquarium and watches the world go by. I took
lots of picture of it and it seemed to enjoy the attention. Well, at least
you don't have to take it for a walk.
