as i went into a public restroom and made my way the urinals, i passed a
man my age - maybe slightly older.  he was already bellied up to the bar
and taking care of business as i walked by.  i didn't think anything
about it and now, can empty my bladder in under 20 seconds with plenty
of time to spare.  after i was done, and even washed my hands, i noticed
that the gentleman was still standing there at the urinal.

as the thoughts race through my head that just less than 90 days ago,
that could have been me.  my dump times far exceeded two minutes some
times.

for those who having excess scarring and blockage after surgery, i'm
here to say that there is help out there and i'm amazed as to how my
body has finally came back.  i guess it may be due to the reduction in
the swelling going down or what, but the dump times have gotten so short
as compared to what they were before.  after my last surgery.  i was
somewhere around 30 seconds and i thought that was great.

i remember being that gentleman at the urinal just a few months ago and
a young man came in and went into a stall.  as i heard the splatter of a
heavy flow and a few seconds later, he was done.  oh, what it would feel
like to be able to do that, i said.

and now, i'm there.  i guess christmas presents come in the form of all
shapes and sizes and types - huh?

Curtis,

Thank you for these thots.  Its good to hear there is a light at the
end of the tunnel for those of us with these problems.  Its easy to
get depressed over the fact that one's recovery is not going as well
as expected.  Thanks for letting us know there is hope.

Bruce
