You've got to hand it to him. It's a crafty technique. You can ignore
twaddle but it/him knows how difficult it is for a human being to
ignore a claim you said something you never did. So, Safire can always
be sure some kind soul will keep the thread he's disrupting  going for
ten times as long as it might, while subverting the theme. His
persistence means that ill people in this newsgroup lose information
and  support they look for.

A Dementor is described (harrypotter.wikia.com), among other things,
as 'a soul-sucking fiend'....  with 'a large hole where the mouth
should be, which is used for sucking the soul out of the victim.'....

creating a dense, chilly fog.' ..... ' Being blind, Dementors sense
and feed on the positive emotions of human beings to survive...

Of course, safire, so far as we know, may not be a Dementor (have to
watch out for troll lawyers on this NG now)  but Safire's chilly fog
has descended on so many threads, feeding on  the positive and caring
emotions of genuine human beings ,trying to suck the soul out of this
newsgroup.

Most recently for example Ron started a subject of importance to every
soul subscribing here, about the doubling of Pca readings. It has been
totally hijacked by a load of bollocks from Safire that Ron is a
criminal etc etc, la de da de ta toowhitawoo. (In which case  every
blogger, and newsgroup contributor in the world should be running for
the hills, pursued by trolls) . But look at the length of the thread
his cold, dense, obscuring fog created!

As IP Freely wrote - let's stop feeding him. Do we want to go back to
being a positive, caring newsgroup?  It's the only way. If Harry
Potter could beat it, our tough vets and newbies alike should be able
to.

We don't even need a magic wand.  My New Year's resolution: KILLfile
or delete trolls before reading. Join the revolt.
