Three years ago today, I was cut from stem to stern (slight exaggeration)
and my uro mined my belly for prostate (no exaggeration). Today, I'm off to
work, and will probably put in ten hours. My daughter got engaged two
nights ago (last one). My son is about to present me with a grandson (first
one). The house from which we moved on September 2 just sold last night for
$3,000 less than what we were asking (which is to say $2000 more than I was
expecting). And, I have still yet to have the first symptom of prostate
cancer.
Yes, people. Life is good!
I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, or Seasons
Greetings -- whichever is your flavor. I dearly thank each and every one of
you for the years of excitement, empathy, encouragement, sadness, fear and
honesty. I look back over this year with but one regret (June 15, may he
rest in peace). You all come from so many backgrounds with a singule common
denominator, but as a whole, you are one of the greatest groups in all the
world.

Steve:
You are tops in my book. I want you to know that I appreciate your
support and humor during my ordeal. I am glad you kept active in the ng
this long after your surgery. And ditto the comments about the great group
of people to be found here.
Best wishes for the New Year.
Thank you.

Great message, Steve.
Its easy to focus so strongly on this disease that you forget the
things in life that we are now able to enjoy. Thanks for bringing
this into perspective!
Happy holidays!

Merry Christmas to you too, Steve, unofficial Membership Chairman!
You've been a great help, and I'm happy to have met you and the others
that come to share here (but I'd like to move that we not have so many
club meetings in hospitals, okay?).
Oh yeah --- don't forget Whose birthday it is!

Steve, you are so right, life is good. It's not perfect. There is no perfect
life, it's just what we make of it. Counting the positives is better than
the negatives any day! Every day that passes is one day closer to a cure.
Every day is another gift of time.
