Khan you do not want to take any supplements during chemo. Some may interact
and most give a false reading as to the accomplishments of the chemo.

Khan, I know you asked about this before in regard to
entering a clinical trial of chemotherapy.
I answered at that time that taking supplements might not
be a great idea. If they work, you might think the chemotherapy
was helping you when it was not. You might then get more
chemotherapy. If, as Gourd Dancer suggested, they interfere
with the chemo, then you might discontinue chemo when, in
fact, it might have helped you.
I understand your interest in the subject. You want the maximum
effect in attacking your cancer. But, unfortunately, we just don't
know if the supplements will help or hurt.
If the chemo is given to you over a short period of time, say a
week or a month, consider not using any supplements during
that time. Then use all the supplements you want.
As for what supplements to use - as with everything else in
prostate cancer, the data is of very low quality. If it were me,
I think I would try pomegranate, lycopene, vitamin C, and
vitamin D. But I'm no expert and I'm afraid no one is.
But some of those might protect cells from attack by chemotherapy
drugs. So hold off until the treatment is done.
Good luck.
