Paul had his first (four month) post proton treatment PSA test
yesterday. We got the results directly from the lab (Quest) this
morning. His reading was 1.2.

The Loma Linda radiation oncologist had said to expect the four month
number to be between 1.5-2.0, given that his highest pre-treatment PSA
(taken at Quest) was 3.5 on 1/17/07 (3.14 retaken at the VA lab on
2/13/07). A little lower is better!

The next test is in six months. That is Loma Linda's protocol -- first
test at four months and every six months thereafter until five years.
We feel that we can breathe again until the end of March.

Hi Keith:

Yes, Paul has joined BOB and receives the monthly newsletters.

The newly designed newsletter is quite impressive, IMO.

the new news letter is really outstanding...lot of work and fine tuning
help.....i am not 7th day adventist and selected proton treatment at loma
linda based upon their stellar world renown advances in a variety of
medical areas, especially for children and their international heart
institute....the enormous amount of money invested in the beams and
centers throughout the nation and the ones plans in other parts of the
world shows that they are dedicated to the best treatment for all cancer
period....loma linda has had a partnership with NASA for decades....i will
always tell anyone with pca to always seek the treatment best for them.....

Yup, we are both fine.  Glad to see you post here.  I only read now and
again since the treatment.  We are still happy with our choice of
Brachytherapy.
