will the 3rd recurrence usually come sooner than the 2nd recurrence did. I
got my first recurrence ten years after a RP. If I'm destined for a 3rd one
will it come sooner  than the 2nd one?  Lloyd

I have not tracked that stat in this group and have not read anything on the
subject.  So, all I can tell you is my first failure was noted in less than
1½ years, the next was 1 year later, and the next 3 years after that.

But, it's been four years since your last and you're pushing 65 years old.
Is there something that's worrying you?  What's your PSAs been since the
EBRT?

Wow, I'll say you sure do stat this group. I'm more nervous awaiting the 3rd
bout. For some crazy reason, how could you get PC  without a prostate gland.
I'm holding at 0.1 for now. Staying off the greasy foods, and staying
focused on tomorrow,,,,,,,,,,,,, Later Steve

It's not crazy.  You call it a recurrence, as do most and as do I more often
than not.  But, it is really a re-appearance rather than a recurrence.
Optimistically, once it's gone, it's gone and it will never bother you
again.  Realistically, no one every knows whether it is really gone or
laying dormant or if there is such a minute amount left that it doesn't rear
its ugly head again for years.  Many years ago, the thought was you weren't
cured until you were cancer free for five years.  Then when people were
discovered with it after five, the timeline went to ten.  Since I've had
cancer, the timeline went from 15 to 20.  Some (many) believe that once you
have prostate cancer, you never, ever lose it completely -- that it's really
a matter of keeping it suppressed.

However, regardless if you believe that, when it comes back a third time,
everyone concurs that is a death sentence -- if you live long enough to die
of it.
