I have acute back pain quite often. It is caused by a ruptured disk that
occurred during 1982. I really doubt that you would have bone cancer with a
PSA of <0.1 and not on ADT.

Steve-
I ended ADT in Jan 2007 after 2 years and PSAs of <0.01 from the
beginning. I just found out that I've got a spot on my pelvis and
metastatic PCa nodules all over both lungs. The cells from the
nodules have mutated and don't look anything like prostate cells. So
much for <0.01 PSAs.

Yeah, I remember. Your case is the reason I appended, "... and not on ADT."
Hank hasn't been on ADT since September 2004. My perception is that people
on ADT get mets out of the blue sometimes, regardless of PSA. I suspect
there is some masking going on. I worry about it myself since I've had a
year of low PSAs and several years of ADT.
But, I think Hank is okay. It's just a hunch, really, but based on your
case and many others I've seen here. Always prepared to be wrong, however.
