Surgery for a THR(R) Monday, 23 July at 09:00. 7 years and 3 days
following the left hip replacement.
I'll get back on-line as soon as the doc says I can return home. Doubt if
it'll be a 12-day hospital stay like the last time. Gal in ASA was home in
4 days following her THR in early June.

Good luck, Chief......I would have said "break a leg", but I restrained
myself, grin.
See you on Friday next.....roughly. They say (whoever "they" are) that
recovery is easier and faster for a hip than it is for a knee.

Good luck, Chief. I'll be sending a little prayer northwest for you.

Good luck, you may be surprised at how quickly you're out. My _90_ year
old father just had his left hip replaced July 6th. He was out of the
hospital in 5 days but he had some complications due to an intestinal
infection picked up in the hospital. Still in rehab but he'd been
confined to a wheelchair for better than a year and a half due to it
(the hip) being so bad. Surgeon said it was one of the worst hip joints
he'd seen.
Still, the surgery took all of 38 MINUTES! Amazing what they do these
days. Pretty soon they'll have you home before the surgery<g>
