John Ferguson (Sr) passed away last Saturday from PCA.
In September 2005, Ferguson was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He died on
July 14, 2007
He was a Canadian hockey "great" and more.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ferguson_Sr
During his playing career, he won the Stanley Cup five times

He was first posted about here last February where the news item described
his cancer as advanced and aggressive.
http://www.thestar.com/columnists/article/177921
The 68-year-old's PSA results were abnormally elevated, with a subsequent
bone scan showing a frightening development. The cancer had spread to his
shoulder, knee, pelvis and spine.

If I recall correctly, one or more persons here asked for an update.
May he rest in peace.

Steve.....he didn't post.  I did.  I gave a link to his story in the
Toronto Star.  What a fighter he was.  This was Feb. 3rd.....he had 3
more 3-week chemo bouts after that.  It was quite an aggressive cancer,
even at his age of 68.

He was a mean and miserable man.  Especially when he made Rod Gilbert
retire early because he wouldn't fight.  Those that knew him, pretty much
feared and despised him.
