Chip,

The pump I used (Rejoyn) came with three sizes of rings. If you are already
using the smallest ring supplied with your pump, maybe you can contact the
manufacturer to see if they make a smaller one. The function of the ring is
to hold the blood in the penis after the pump is removed in order to sustain
the erection.

Hello Jerry,I was sent info from my urologist and the pump he
suggested was a $450 pump I really did not look into that one because
of cost.I looked on the internet and saw ones that did the same exact
function I know it causes a vacuum and then the ring is to hold the
blood in while erect.I just went and bougt one for $29.99 at some
store and it came w/a plastic(acrylic) one and they suggested some
black rubber ones and I saw the sizes and figured they would have to
conform to what I needed being elastic. But I guess I need one that is
alot tighter to keep it in without doing any damage to the vessels.I
really don't think the $450 one would do anything different unless it
comes with a different way or tighter way to constrict the flow.I
don't know if doubling the band would help.Chip

Frugality is good.  But, trying for the results of $450 (retail) device of
any kind with a $29.99 (retail) device will almost never work.

You might want to search for that $450 device on eBay.  I've heard of people
getting them for almost half.

Get a bag of those little hair ties used for ponytails and such.  It's
cloth covered elastic rings.  They stretch alot and are disposable.  Look
for the really tiny ones. I got a bag of multicolored ones at the .99 cent
store.  There's enough in the bag for a lifetime!

The pump I have came with three variably sized rings with instructions on
which to try first, then next, then next, then, if none worked, which two to
try simultaneously.  If you have only one ring, then you have a different
system and possibly insufficient for your needs.

I have been using a pump successfully for 12 years and have during
that time, used two different pumps. I have found that the pump is not
as important as the Rings. For the rings to really work, they must fit
tight enough to almost be uncomfortable. I have even, in the begining,
used two rings of different cicumference. Shaving pubic hair at the
base of your penis is also helpful in making a good seal, as well as
being liberal with the lubricant. The pump is a really good device,
but one must be highly motivated and willing to experiment and
practice. It's even possible to develop some sponteniety. Use a larger
ring initially to obtain a semi-rigid erection for foreplay activity,
and have the pump already to go with a smaller ring to obtain a full
erection. This allows for much longer love making sessions without
your member turning purple.

Chip,

I would recommend trying the Actis by Vivus, http://www.phoenix5.org/sexaids/other/actis.html.
Because it's adjustable, you can put it on loose while pumping, then
pull it as tight as you need to maintain.

HTH,

John
