For all who do not know he is a character from "The Sopranos". A
couple of seasons back his character had prostate cancer. They didnt
really make a big deal of it in the show though it did effect the
character.
But in the last few episodes he tried to use that to his advantage and
to turn down an "Offer" from Tony. LOL, can you really turn down an
offer from a mob boss? But the way he said it, in his "Joisy" accent
was very funny. After Tony asked him to take over one of his crews in
the final episode Paulie responded "I'm not so sure T. Ya know Mom
died last year and (pointing to his groin with his whole hand) I GOT
THE PROSTATE". Very funny especially if you know the character.
After I had my RP in August 2005 I sometimes declined social invites
because of "the prostate" and my wife and friends understood. But to
be honest I really wasnt feeling so great for a few months afterwards
so
it was legit. Feeling great now so I cannot really use that excuse
(thank goodness).
It reminds me of Larry David from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" who after his
mother passed away used that as an excuse to turn down invites to
parties and dinners AND to get "pity sex" from his wife!!!
Well one out of two worked for me. :O)

Tony Sirico is a rip, albeit he may really not be acting :D
I laughed when I heard him say "The prostate". Maybe he had "The Gout"
and was just confused? Nah, there's no mixing the two up, even by ol'
Walnuts standards. Still it's more entertaining than hearing about BPH
vs. PCa in Flomax commercials.

Very off-topic, but Paulie Walnuts is my favorite Sopranos' character. I'm
just now seeing the series on DVD. I still smile when I remember him trying
to theologize to alleviate his worry about dying at a certain hour. And
then the time he and Christopher lost the Russian in the woods and spent the
night sucking on condiment packs and arguing over tic tacs. What a hoot.
It was a brilliant show. And Tony Sirrico did spend time in prison in his
earlier years---stuck up after-hours night clubs.
