One year -- GOOD team.

If you really want to see some baseball, get some recordings of the 1970s
Cincinnati Reds or 1927 New York Yankees.  Those were Great Teams.

I'm sure in Scotland, it looks great.  But, this year, the Boston Red Sox
are kicking a.s and taking names.

Hey Hughie,

2005 certainly was a great year for us White Sox fans. This year is a
bit of a disappointment. I love to read good baseball books and am
currently reading a very good one called "Crazy 08" by Cait Murphy.
It's a terrific telling of the 1908 baseball season. The game was so
much different then, more like a Saturday night at the rowdiest bar in
town. She takes you back decades earlier than 1908 to explain the
origins of pro ball, or decades later to make perfect comparisons. I
imagine "footballers" such as you Hughie would like it.
