Hi group! I am scheduling my surgery, and am wondering if anyone paid
attention to their biorhythms when selecting their surgery date.

Thanks.

I would estimate that surgery on a 40-year-old is so easy to survive, that I
would be more worried about the biorhythms of my surgeon.

And either consideration presumes against studies that show biorhythms
mean squat. A far bigger factor is the time of day: a study hiting the
press just days ago showed that morning surgeries have far fewer
complications than afternoon surgeries simply because the hospital
system is fully staffed, fresh, and running on all cylinders in the
morning vs shift changes and reduced manning after PM surgeries.

Nope; I don't recall the source. If you're scheduled for a PM surgery,
research it and change the time.

We've discussed this factor for a couple
months in the arthritis support group.

The most important item mentioned is the
surgeon's freshness and frame of  mind in
the morning vs. the afternoon.

===> when i selected my surgery date, i was in control and the surgeon
checked his schedule and ok'ed on that date.

i had it done on april 15th - tax day.  i figure the gov't got
everything else,  they might as well get the rest of it on the
appropriate day.

and since i served my country and got sprayed with agent orange, then
the pca happened and then - got screwed by the gov't by them telling me
that i was never there and having to fight them on that point for years,
it just seemed to be that april 15th was the day to go.
