my brother has bad pain in the groin area, but has no trouble going to
do a pee at all.
He can only walk very short distances .  he has seen a specialist and
has had a camera down his throat, up his rear and soon he will have a
camera put somewhere else.!

He is on medication and i am sure that he said his PSA level was ok.

He has spoken to some people that have had prostate cancer and they
said that they had no pain with it...so he seems to think maybe he
hasnt got the cancer and his prostate is slightly enlarged.

===> what the poster was asking were valid questions.

i know you are not trying to be a wise a.s and that you really care for
your brother.

but since you said that his psa level was "ok" and that he seems to
think maybe he hasnt got the cancer and his prostate is slightly
enlarged.   then, may i suggest that since this newsgroup deals mainly
with prostate cancer,  that you might want to post your message to the
newsgroup, sci.med.prostate.bph

they deal with the problems that you are describing.

hope this info helps.

The groin is not really near the prostate, so my gues is he has other
issues to deal with.  Sounds like he's getting the right tests.

prostatitis?

Hello, Migalow:

His PSA is ok.  So, an enlarged prostate would be odd, since PSA
levels do rise as the prostate enlarges, on average.  What led him to
hink of the prostate?
