1. As a guy with a 72gm prostate looking at a possible RRP, how does a
large one like mine figure into possible incontinence afterwards?
2. Must the surgeon cut deeper toward or into my urinary sphincter?
3. Must the bladder anastomosis be sewn differently?
4. How much of this is muscular recovery & how much the skill of my
surgeon (whom I really trust, since he's done 2000 of these!)

I think these are excellent questions to ask your surgeon should you
choose to go towards that path.
I had excellent results on the incontinence front with a 56 gram
prostate using robotic surgery. I was continent from day one after the
catheter came out. No pads, no leaks.
I was in very good shape going in because of all the weight training
that I had been doing most of my life, like squats for instance. They
probably helped me by strengthening my pelvic floor muscles. Of course
the skill of the surgeon was just or even more important.

"Zoom's" request is for medical advice. This is not the place to get it,
though no doubt there are some who are all too willing to give it.

Ask the surgeon, not amateurs on the internet. It's his *job* to answer
such questions. He's being very well paid to do so.

Bob Anthony is exactly right.
