Debbie I also had my surgery in Portland.
Some of what you have stated in your post sounds very familiar.
Could you post the initals of the surgeon who did this? Or at least the
initial of the last name?
I would be very appreciative.

BL are his initials and he was very good - we believe he saved Allen's
life.  We saw the lab report afterwards and the margins were clear.  If we
have a reoccurance, I truly believe our surgeon did the best he could do.
We consulted with another one before we selected ours, and were not
impressed at all.

I think it sometimes happens that there is a tiny bit of
cancer, too small to even see, outside the area of a
normal surgery.  No surgeon in the world would be able
to get it because there would be no way for them to
find it.

It's just bad luck.
