Yes! You're in luck! A radical prostatectomy will fix you right up.

Give the poster a little slack.  It is clear that there wasn't much
point in posting this here.   But mesothelioma is quite serious and I
can understand why someone might cast a very wide net in an attempt to
get information.

I don't know the current state of treatment for mesothelioma.  I do know
that Steven Jay Gould, the famous paleontologist, had it and managed to
beat it for an extended period of time.  He wrote some essays about  his
experience.

I would tell the poster that an internet search is not likely to yield
much useful information.  The  people involved should try to find the
most knowledgeable medical experts they can find.  Trying high quality
medical centers such as Sloan Kettering might be a good place to start.

I had never heard of mesothelioma to the best of my knowledge, but
www.Answers.com has much information about the disease; nothing about a
cure.

That's the other reason my response was useless; there is no cure.

If indeed this guy is just playing games, your response was appropriate.

For the record, mesothelioma is considered incurable, but that doesn't
mean that some people don't survive it.   And there are some treatments.
That is why I referred to Stephen Jay Gould who had it and refused to
give up.  See

www.cancerguide.org/median_not_msg.html

It can be helpful to any victim of cancer or other serious disease.

If he had simply asked the question, we could give him the slack.

But he posted an URL to a "hit me" site that collects everytime
someone clicks on an ad.

I was ready to, until I dug further into Teenwag and Salma's other
posts. I suspect a bored kid or even a troll. but if I'm wrong, at least
I did no harm. I don't get snotty lightly.

Nick, how'd you find the aliases? We have a guy on another forum who
plays Salma's game.

Google groups is great for discovering who is who, playing the alias
game.
There is a feature "view profile" which turns up all the names and
groups
they post in.

Ah, so; thanks. I've used that to track a couple of individuals'
behavior and scope, but used only one name. OTOH, when I "view profile"
on known cases of multiple identities, I see their other groups, but
only the one identity I entered, not their other known nomes de plume.
At most I see only one of salma's alter egos: salmaisalesbian.

If you read a sampling of the messages in the other groups, you'll
discover that some were posted using a different name than the one you
expected with "view profile."  Guess I have a lot of time, retired on
disability since the late 1980's, to devote to the "mystery search"
and aliases.   <g>

That's what I expected upon retiring about the same year you did, but it
hasn't worked out that way; I'm far behind the power curve most of the
time, especially these last 30 months.

And I should add a sincere "thank you" for your constructive criticism.
That's always welcome.
