Hormone therapy plus radiation reduced average length 2.2 inches in
study

NEW YORK - Men who receive combination treatment with hormone therapy
plus radiation for local or locally advanced prostate cancer may
experience a significant reduction in penile length, according to a
report in the January issue of the Journal of Urology.

There has been anecdotal evidence that radiation therapy can reduce
penile length but, to the authors' knowledge, the present study is the
first to determine if penile length changes following combination
treatment with hormone therapy plus radiation.

Dr. Ahmet Haliloglu and colleagues at the University of Ankara in Turkey
enrolled 47 men with local or locally advanced prostate cancer. The
patients, who were followed from 2000 to 2005, received leuprolide or
goserelin injections every three months, for a total of three doses. At
Month 7, radiotherapy, using a 70-Gy dose, was initiated and continued
for seven weeks.

Just before treatment began, the average stretched penile length was 5.6
inches. Eighteen months later, the average penile length had shortened
significantly to 3.4 inches.

Erectile function was also adversely affected by treatment. Roughly 23
percent of men had normal erectile function before therapy. Eighteen
months later, 12.5 percent were able to have an erection that was
suitable for intercourse.

"Quality-of-life concerns are important when considering treatment
options for prostate cancer," the investigators conclude. Before
starting combination hormone and radiation therapy, the patient should
be told that "penile shortening may occur."

it "hard to find"

Tasteless joke, but you asked for it.  A man goes to the doctor and
the doc says, "Do you mind if I ask you a personal question"?  The guy
replies, "Go ahead".  The the doc asks:  "I'm just wondering how you
cope with having such a small penis".

The guy answers.  "It _is_ a problem.  Sometimes when I need to
urinate, I can't find my penis".

Then the Doc asks:

"What about sex?"

The man replies, "That's easier, because then there are two of us
looking for it."

:-))

I suspect this isn''t a "man joke".

I haven't noticed any shrinkage.

What I have noticed is that my libido is way off.

It's kinda like when I was much younger.  I noticed that some gals
(the A group) loved frequent sex and would call you if you didn't call
them; others (the B group) could take it or leave it but enjoyed a
roll in the hay about once a week or so;  a few (the C group) didn't
seem to have much interest.

Since most guys were in the "I like frequent" category, that led to
some interesting times and competition for the A group.    Of course
life is more complicated than sex but this is how it looked, way back
when.

Now, after the treatment, I've fallen into the B or maybe even the C
group.

Libido is off, erections are soft (80%, better with chemical assists),
and orgasms are so-so.

-kh Why couldn't the treatment added inches, made it firmer, enhanced
libido and orgasms.   That would be a medical breakthrough!

I am constantly being informed of these breakthroughs. Have you checked your
mailbox lately?

My mail service uses a brightmail/greymail antispam system.  I just
checked my greymail folder and -Dang-, you're right!!!

The nephew of a deceased prime minister wants to share 30% of FORTY-
FIVE MILLION DOLLARS with me.

Russian and Filipino women want to date me.

Pills and ointments that ADD INCHES NOW are available!

(Refinance for 1% too!)

Why am I wasting my time going to the docs, the office, counting out
those $10 pills!   The good life is in my greymail folder!!!

-kh  Let's see, I want an 8 incher, a Russian and a Filipino woman,
and pills that'll let me satisfy both!  Oh, and 30% of FORTY-FIVE
MILLION DOLLARS, send it in cash.
