I am currently in the midst of my EBRT (actually SBRT monotherapy, no
seeds or drugs), and do not have any SEs at all thus far. For those
that have completed IMRT/IGRT, other than fatigue mentioned midway
through by some people, can you share your experience of when SEs
started to occur and when these issues started? Thanks.

Give it about a year. Then get an Rx for Vitamin V. If your
exerience is like mine, the effects on potency, orgasm intensity and
ejaculate quantity are gradual. But pretty much zero incontinence.

My memory is beginning to fade on the SEs of EBRT, but as I recall, my
burning on urination began during the last week and subsided immediately
when completed. My diarrhea began half way into it. My bleeding
hemorrhoids actually began prior to, but didn't heal for months afterward
because of EBRT. And, yes, I was fatigued. I didn't know until my wife
told me and months later, I realized how good I felt and realized myself
that I must have been fatigued.
However, I drank gallons of water, walked 3-5 miles a day, 3-5 days a week
and slept an extra hour every night throughout treatment.

I had been on Lupron for a couple months when the IMRT started. At 25
days, I essentially had no side effects. I was getting up once a
night to pee but that's only an issue because I never did that
before.
I mentioned that I was having side effects to the doc at INOVA and he
was surprised, said that he just spoke with an older fellow who was
tracking along with me and he had no issues at all.
Later, I was talking to (very likely that person) in the waiting room
and he said, "No, I'm not having any side effects, just getting up
once or twice a night to pee, like I always do."
The rule of thumb at INOVA is that side effects start at about the 5th
week. If that's your treatment, then you might have a little urgency
and some frequency but depending on you, you might not notice it.
A 6 week or 7 week protocol means more side effects.
Of course, I had a real buzz from the Lupron so the IMRT was very mild
in comparison.
