content. How do -you- use it?

I buy a bottle of the pure stuff.  Really disliked it.  I have mixed it with
orange-flavored metamucil and water.  Not too bad then.

Groan!

I bought the pomegranate extract capsules.  Who knows if they
work as well or better than the juice, but then who really knows
if the juice works.  We just have one clinical trial paid for by
a pomegranate grower.

The following product is the best I've found.  Cheap and convenient.
Great blend of high-quality ingredients.  Do not have to mix w/
anything.  No added sugar.

Agro Labs Naturally Pomegranate Supplement -- 32 fl oz

*On sale at Costco for $14.89*  (costco.com)

Supplement Facts
Serving Size: 1 fl oz
Servings per container: 32

Amount Per Serving  % Daily Value

Proprietary blend consisting of PomElla™ Pomegranate (punica granatum)

*(fruit, rind & seed)*

extract standardized to contain

*30% punicalagin* (active ingredient)

& 2-5% ellagic acid and a proprietary blend of other ellagitannin
complexes** (add'l ingredients, cf. below).

Pomegranate (punica granatum) Seed Extract 250 mg.

Other ingredients: Water, *Pomegranate Juice* Concentrate.

Directions:  For adults, take one fl oz daily preferably with meals.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE DRINKING REFRIGERATE AFTER OPENING

Note:  Consuming a mixture of the various parts of the pomegranate,
e.g., fruit, rind or seed, plus juice, has been found in experiments
to work better than consuming one part of the fruit alone.   That's
why I had ordered this brand of softgels (from seed oil) for him to
have w/juice, but the juice is just too expensive ($5.99/4 8 oz.
servings) and too heavy to carry from the supermarket, so I will
happily order the above supplement.  Because anyway, it says, pom
juice is added to it, so it covers all bases.

Compare with the following:  Life Extension foundation Pom. Juice
Concentate

16 oz.: member price, $17.52, non-member, $23.36

Serving Size: 1 oz.

Pom Juice Concentrate (punica granatum) from fruit:  (30 ml.)

Pom. Standardized Extract (from fruit):  300 mg.

*Punicalagins: 30%  (90 ml.) * (same as above).

Enjoy!
