Well, folks:

IT finally happened.  As a matter of fact, he is dosing comfortably
now.

We were just hanging out in bed, not even paying much attention to one
another.  In fact, I was reading an article in Sci Amer. about
bonobos.

So, that's a good lead-in

Anyway, I looked over at him and he had this erection.  Picture
perfect.

It appeared out of nowhere.  And it took no work, either.

We couldn't believe it.

And there was no artificial anything.  No shots.  OK, Cialis every 2
days.

The best part was, it took a "normal" amount of time, because I'm
tired of the ones that never quit.  I'll take the 4 1/2 minutes.

So, miracles do happen.

It is now 15 mos. and one week since his RP, and I am convinced that
things do get better with time.  I know it.

So forget all those bad things I said about RP.  Reserve your place in
line now.

Leah

PS:  I have heard it said, a number of times, that some men have a
better orgasm after surgery.  In fact, I read such a post today.
Plus, if you use injections to have sex to have sex after RP, you  can
pretty much do it on your own terms.  In some ways it's much better
than the real thing.

Way to go, Leah!  Congratulations!

I read that today about the orgasms, too.  Mine have been more intense
-- it feels as though there's a nerve that starts firing, as though it
would have been doing something else to the prostate before, and now
it's sending out a signal that's got no place ot go.  Whatever it is,
I'll take it.

Congrats Leah... and I don't feel at all dirty about you sharing your
moment of success with us. Intimacy can be shared.

Hi, Leah.

Congratulations on the excellent news!

Personally, I'm glad to hear that you are taking back all the bad
things you said about RP, because, as you may recall, you recommended
Dr. Samadi to me.

Well, I had RLRP with him this past Friday, and I'm home recovering.
Things are going ok. The surgery went very well, indeed. He told me it
wound up being more complex than initially anticipated, due to my
having 12 our of 12 biopsy cores showing some cancer. So, I will have
the catheter in a full 10 days. Uggh. I've had problems with bladder
spasms the past two days, but overall, the pain is getting better, and
I am feeling better each day. He did manage to spare both of my
nerves, much to my surprise. Dr. Samadi truly is a special Doctor, and
a true artist.

I wanted to tell you that this morning, as I was waking up for day 5
after surgery, I actually had what guys refer to as "morning wood,"
yes, even with the catheter in! I had to raise the blankets after
thinking, "hmmm...this sure feels like an erection." And sure enough,
there it was! I wondered if I were dreaming. In all my research I'd
never heard of such a thing. Ok, yes, I was in perfect sexual health
going in, and quite active, but still...

I'm looking forward to getting rid of this darn catheter in a week,
and seeing how I'm doing with continence.

Best of luck to you, and your husband.

Kenn.

That's great Kenn.  The worst part of it is behind you.  And, maybe all of
it!!!
