Howie.....phone your ISP and ask him if they still have Usenet (news
groups) and ask them to set up your email reader for them.  What are you
using to get emails with??  Outlook Express??  I can't tell from your
headers, but it looks like you have Windows 98.

Or you can continue with Google Groups and you will get the hang of it,
I promise!!  It is a bit of a pain, but it works and is free.

A lot of ISP's (two of Canada's largest have done so, in fact) are
dropping Usenet in favour of blogging and webmail and other bloody
things I have no use for, but there are free news readers out there that
we can use.  This one is terrific.......Motzarella News.

Cheers.......Heather

     Have a Windows ME 2000 and I like the Google..as I said..all Greek
to me after 7 years on WEBTV..Would like just maybe a few replys..but I
woke up to 43 messages??? Howie<<<<<<<<<

Howie......there is no such model as *Windows ME 2000*......so perhaps
you should figure out what you do have.  Is it WinME or Win2000??  I
still say, phone your ISP (peoplepc) and ask them to help you out.  What
does the splash screen say when you first boot up??  Windows Millenium??

Do you have Outlook Express on this computer??  (of course he does,
Heather, grin) That is your email program if you do.  As I said before,
I have never used WebTV....so can't even visualize what you do with it.
But a few people on this ng do use it so perhaps they could help.

But you are coming thru via Google, so use that for now until you figure
out what the innards of your computer are.  You could download *Belarc
Advisor* which will tell you exactly what is on your computer (software,
missing Microsoft patches, etc), but I don't want to confuse you.

Best.....Heather
