For some unknown reason my last post is not showing on my computer. If
anyone replied to me or asked a question could you repeat on this posting as
i cant read them. Many thanks
carolyn
Carolyn, there were several replies and, now, I do not see the thread.
Maybe it can be restored by admin (?)

OK, then who deleted the thread - it was there for 2 days.

Probably your ISP, if you are reading newsgroups via that route. If you
want to reread something, go to Google Groups, find this group and
"Bob's yer Uncle".
Heather
PS.....as an afterthought I checked your headers and you are using
Google to post. Why not use it to read the posts as well????

Rich, this is an unmoderated USENET newsgroup on the Internet. Beyond
your own ISP, there IS no "they". If you can't find a post you saw
before, your settings are set to hide or delete them or your ISP cuts
them off by some criteria. I don't know what post Carolyn is referring
to, so I can't just Google it.

Guess I need to do some reading. I'm just willy-nilly posting away
here.

That is very unfortunate, Carolyn. You received about 8 or 9 replies, each
very supportive and complimentary. I'll see if I can copy them to you.
From Richbro (Richard):
Hi Carolyn, first, I admire your courage to post an update. It is
difficult to deal with the situation when it is at the stage of your
John.
There are some of us, like myself, that are past the "curable"
treatments and are in life-sustaining treatment mode and I appreciate
knowing that there are still good things to find (like the hospice
Doctors and his smiling, etc), so thank you for the post and good luck!
Rich
From me:
Thanks for this Carolyn.
It may sound perverse, but we desire to know how things are at the end just
as much as how to delay the end. Actually, sitting and watching TV is a far
sight better than how my father left us back when the meds weren't as good
as they are now and I am therefore given some measure of hope by your post.
Feel free to post -- or to lurk. Your "gloom" is our knowledge.
You can count on my prayers and, lately, He has been listening to me for
some reason.
Steve
From Commander Data:
Carolyn, I too am praying for you and your hubby. As a person who has
lost two loved family members to this disease and now having to fight
it myself with the Lord's help, I can feel your anguish and pain. As
Steve said, when you feel like it, post your feeling and experience
here so we too may know what our future may likely be when we get to
that stage. I've thought about whether I have the courage of continuing
to live once I get to be incapacitated, but hopefully I will not have
to face that. You are very strong and loving, and I praise you for it.
From Jean and Larry:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and John and please know that your
post meant a lot to Larry & I. As others have said, it helps to know as
much as possible about this horrible disease. We lost Larry's brother to
prostate cancer a few years ago and he left this world quietly and calmly
with a contented smile on his face. We wish the same for John.
Hugs,
Jean
From Paul and Lisa Bodley:
Dear Carolyn,
I will put you and John on my prayer list. I admire your courage.
From MH (Mike H.):
You and John are both in my thoughts and prayers, Carolyn.
I admire your courage.... and your loving devotion!

Many ISPs post only a small percentage of available posts. I dumped
three until I found one that posts ALL of them, as verified by Google
Groups.
