Here's to Martin Howard of Essex, England.
During late 2002, Martin was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer with a PSA of
145 and a Gleason of 9. His choice for treatment was urine and herbal
therapy. All the while we debated his decision, he stuck to his guns
because of his belief in not using medications that were tested on animals.
His last reported PSA was 934. He died three years ago today.
Few consider his choices reasonable, but he earned the respect, nonetheless,
of most here.

Wow!
I feel for Martin....
He did make his choice....We all have choices....
No-one says what the final choice will do for those making the choice.
Like dice? No...
Educated choices are always the better.
I have never seen anywhere in any book or anything where Urine, and Herbs
cured.....
Urine is supposed to be a by-product of life.
Herbs are what you put on Turkey, and salad, and maybe smoke....
I wish Martin the best.....Others have died using urine therapy on this
group!
Research, Learn, read, ask questions...Don't ever take the easy way..
See if that is, "The easy way" Then decide....

But others have died of prostate and other cancers despite having had
'conventional' treatment.
We all die, the way we live, according to our consciences, is more important
to some.

He had the most wonderful sense of humor; I liked that about him.
He did well right up until the end.
May we all live, love, and enjoy life as much as he did.

It's not unreasonable to consider the welfare of animals. I respect anyone
who has such principles - I wish I were as firm in mine :-(

I'd lay down my live for my dog; he's my friend. However, I would not do the
same for a lab rat.

I corresponded with him by email several times. A real gentleman who
believed in his principles.

Hello Allan!!!
Haven't heard from you since before you were a septuagenarian.
Actually, I was kinda getting worried. Last I recall, your PSA was only
0.25, but slowly rising. How are you doing?

Here here to old Martin. He was the single most entertaining poster we
have ever had. I always admired him for hearing that different drumer, and
being a potential trailblazer for us all.
