will i get back the intensity of my orgasms if i am able to have
erections from the injection?
since nerve sparring  RLRP 7 weeks ago, i am barley able to feel my
orgasms.
i was able to feel my orgasms before puberty without ejaculation.
the only thing else i would be missing would be feedback of the
response of my prostate to my brain.
are there any other feedback sources involved?
i feel the buildup and then  i don't feel it happen.  i did feel it
barely happen yesterday.  it was kind of a dull sensation but there was
some excitement in my head.  i once felt something in my spine.

Gary:

Your orgasmic response post RP sounds very similar to mine. If a mind
blowing orgasm pre RP is a 10 then I have been experiencing 2s with a limp
penis. I recently tried a VED. It really works, well sort of. I am sure it
could pull an erection from a cadaver. But orgasms with a VED induced
erection aren't any better- still a 2 maybe  a 3. I guess it does seem
better with a stiffy to hold on to. The experience still isn't good enough
to have an orgasm vaginally. The whole experience of stuffing your penis in
with a constriction ring holding the erection together just doesn't quite
cut it for me. Not to mention the fact that a VED erection leaves the base
of your penis still limp. It just isn't the same.

I will continue to try the VED. But I will probably try injections before
too long. I suspect after you get over the initial stick, the injection
induced erection is as close to natural as you are going to find. Whether it
improves the quality of the orgasm, we will see.

Hi Gary:

I am 60 yrs old and it has been 7 months since my RP. The surgery was
laproscopic and both erectile nerves were spared. All has gone very well
since surgery- I am dry but limp.

Hello Gary,
Thank the Dr.s the cancer is gone.  All else does come....
It takes time....
Yes, you will be very happy with orgasm.
Yes, you will get an erection.
You need to not focus on what has dimished, but what you have.
Healing takes time..
Time....walk, eat good foods, exersize, love your family.
Walk and then try differing things,,,,Viagra? Injection?
Took me 2 years........I mean it......It took me 2 hard years to finally
feel at home.....
Erection, yes, now I am fine...John Loomis Rp 1999 1/2 Nerve spared...
did injection, fine, did pump, ok...finally viagra works...
Hum.
Wish you the best sex, and the biggest hardon.

My experience has been that the intensity of organism is unrelated to
the strength of the erection.  My orgasms were weak or non-existent in
the months following surgery but over time they improved considerably.
But there is still considerable variation in intensity from one occasion
to another.

I agree with the others who  have suggested that you not worry so much
about what is going to happen and try to go with the flow.  You are
still at an early stage, and from your reports doing pretty well under
the circumstances.  Anxiety about how well you are going to perform will
make you tense and you are less likely to experience any pleasure from
the act.

I think the operative rule here is that everyone is different. I was
able to have an intense orgasm shortly after the catheter came out,
still totally limp. Since then, a month out from surgery, I've had a
few erections, including a couple spontaneous ones in the mornings
recently (one of which I would say was probably capable of penetration,
though I didn't have the opportunity at the time). They've been nothing
close to pre-surgery, but I'm satisfied.

And time generally appears longer looking forward than looking back.
I'm hopeful.

One other thing is that PCa has brought my wife and me closer together
emotionally, it seems to me. (I haven't asked her feeling about this,
but I will.) Regardless how the blood flows through my mid-section, my
heart is hers. That's what matters most to me.

Oh!  Very nicely put.

This is a horrible disease because it sneakily steals our life essence.
Continence, manhood, libido, erections, orgasms, and those are a few
of the direct consequences.  Bone loss, stamina, cognitive functions,
joint pain, and so on.

It's not like you can show off the scars, "I got this fighting sharks"
or brag about losing the leg jumping motorcycles over fire barrels.

What successes have we got to talk about?  "I managed to poop good
yesterday?" or "Using vacuum and a ring, I ran the flag all the way up,
for a good 3 minutes."

But yeah, mountainguy1958, you make a point that I am taking to heart.

I.P. talks about his sports and QOL.   QOL is where you find it.   I'll
be working on mine.

Interesting topic as I am stumbling through the "injection" route right now.
As I posted in my thread "Extremely Painful Injections" on Nov 28 - I
initially took the advice of my Uro staff and tried Edex but found any
doseage too painful.  Taking the advice of a female poster in here, I'm now
on a trimix solution made up by a special pharmacy - however, a shot of any
more than the first little notch on these insulin needles they gave me
(barely any liquid in the needle at all) still results in a rather painful
unuseable erection - no matter how magnificent (lol)...

I loved the comment that David made about giving a cadaver a hardon -
because that's still pretty much what it feels like for me...  Like the name
of that afternoon soap - he's Bold and Beautiful - but, it ain't mine...
HOWEVER, to finally get around to answering your question, Gary:  Sex is
definately more enjoyable with whoever's member this is - and, although I
never expect to have orgasms like I used to (so far I only get about 10% of
what they used to be) - I swear that the little ones I have been able to
"squeeze out" after loooong bouts of trying - are, in fact, better with the
injection....  So much so that I fully expect to be jabbing (and, that is
not totally pain free) those insulin needles in my "willy" until such time
as he decides to join us on his own..  (lol)  The poster, "callalily", was
correct.... Thank you, lady...

You can tell when you are getting old because where, once, we used to never
be able to "get enough" - now, we can.... (lol)
