i have been prescribed to take 50mg of viagra daily post rlrp.
i am supposed to cut the 100mg tablets in half.
the tablets are as hard as a desirable erection.
i have tried with a plastic pill cutter. it's ineffective, so i have
been using a razor blade.
the razor blade gives an uneven crumbled cut by sawing it with great
difficulty.

I use a swiss army knife on a hard surface.  I cut my 100s into approximate
quarters.  They are *very* approximate, but I find the exact amount doesnt
matter as much as what's in my stomach when I take them---best when the
stomach is fairly empty.  There is some crumbling, though if you are not
decisive on your cutting.  (I guess it's pretty clear the drug company
doesnt want us doing that. Cant be too much longer before they go generic.)

hi gary - the kind my wife uses cuts the pill as sharp as can be.
she's been cutting pills for 30 years and while i don't know the
different brands of cutters there are out there, i can tell you that
some of them work quite well.

Pill splitter with a metal blade. Yes, it's still a bit crumbly, but it
gets the job done at no risk to my fingers or language.

I put the pills on a cutting board with a cove cut around the perimeter and
use a heavy, SHARP cleaver that I rock across the pill.  The cove prevents
the blade from going all the way through shattering the pills and catches
the broken halfs that are still held together by the blue coating.

At least that is what I usually do.  Sometimes I just bite off a chunk.
Crude but effective.

There is no point in getting too fussy about getting exactly half a pill
since there is no guarantee that the active ingredient is evenly
disseminated through the pill anyway.  Just get it close.

Thanks for that, I told Spouse and the local chemist got one for him. It was
very cheap, less than a pound ($2 at today's rate)

When I was splitting pills, I scribed both sides with a razor blade.  I went
as deep as I could.  Then, I placed it between my first two fingers with the
scribe lines parallel with my fingers.  Then, I pressed down with my thumb
until it snapped.

I rarely had crumbs.

I believe you could also place the pill, scribed as described on a
level surface with a piece of paper's edge along the sribe (covering
one side of the pill), and press down on the pill. At least this is
supposed to work with mfgr scribed pills.

Larry uses a plain old pill cutter from the pharmacy.  Seems to work okay,
but there are some crumbles and pill powder left over.  But, the doc said to
make sure and take all the crumbles and powder too.

Those of you that are anal or very fussy might want to turn away before
I answer this..........

I simply bite the pill roughly in half. If I'm off a few percent, it
doesn't much matter since even 1/4 seems to do the job OK.

JK,

You are just an oral guy... :)

They do make pill splitrs.. Ask the your friendly drug dispenser.

And when in a hurry, I simply bite off half.... :)

I found that a sharp chisel and a 40 ounce hammer seems to do the job
rather well.  not too good for the kitchen table, but the pills almost
always break apart okay.

I suppose most of you know better than to believe that, but for the
unsuspecting I was just kidding above.  For five bucks I got a pill
cutter from the pharmacy and it works just fine for me.  It is plastic,
but it has a regular razor blade built in.  The only problem I see is
that there does not appear to be any way to replace the blade.  Guess
that is planned obsolescence.

I suppose you could also grind up a bunch of them, and then snort the
powder through a straw! Or just take a wet fingertip of powder instead. Not
very accurate, but I bet it would work just as well.

What next?  Mainlining Vitamin-V?

-kh  No, wait, they already have that.  It's called Muse.

I tried that yesterday with a 20mg Levitra.  I just bit off about a
third.  It worked well.

I gave about 10 or 15 minutes of tongue pleasuring.   The gasps and
shuddering built slowly and I don't know if it was the Levitra or just
the thought of all that slipperiness waiting for me but I got more than
stuffable.  I'd call it 90%.

It was the best it's been since the treatment over 2 years ago.  No
disappointing bending.  Going deep. Well, as deep as my 5 inches ever
went.

Some say that length doesn't matter.  Perhaps it doesn't for all but as
a shorty, a few women have mentioned that they enjoy the feeling of
"pressure" and "length" reaching deep inside.  This has been in the
context of a secure, honest relationship, where we openly discuss the
physical aspects of our intimacy.

I lasted about 7 minutes and the orgasm felt almost "wet".   I doubt
that it was but there was the feeling of fluid passing from me to her.

So there is promise.

Gary,

I've never had that trouble with a plastic pill-splitter. I wonder if
it would help if you got a new one. I've got three around the house at
the moment. My pharmacist gives them away free, with his advertising
printed on them. The important thing is the sharpness of the blade. Of
course, V and C are oddly shaped, which can make them wobble a bit
before the blade comes down. But, like I said, a sharp blade has always
worked for me.
